We’ll all have to deal with heartbreak in our lives, but nobody makes it quite as poetic as Christian Frei, director of Sleepless in New York. Although the topic of crumbling relationships seems depressing, Frei shines a light on the positive aspects that can be built from this loss. His film offers an inside look at three people who are suffering through rejection, but also shows audiences how things can ultimately work out for the best. Speaking with The Film Reel, Christian talks about finding people for his film, the way he tried to be the least intrusive in the process, and how he hopes his film may help others in the same situation.
