Very quick one today as my brain slowly sizzles in the summer weather. I’m a few days behind on this one, but Toronto Film Scene has posted my review for 5 Broken Cameras over at their website. Check it out.
Palestian farmer Emad Burnat began filming his life in Bil’in, a small West Bank village, for five years. During that time, a barrier was built on land that belonged to the people of Bil’in. As the villagers begin non-violent demonstrations, Burnat films as the Israeli army resorts to more extreme means to stop the protests. This is a truly shocking documentary that will leave viewers full of anger and heartbreak. Check the full review at the Toronto Film Scene website.
