The Film Reel on Toronto Film Scene – June 5, 2012

Finishing up The Film Reel’s reviews of the Worldwide Short Film Festival over at Toronto Film Scene are the sci-fi and horror programs. Sci-Fi: Out There has some of the best shorts I reviewed from the festival. The horror program, The Night Shift, is an all night party of insanity. It also happens to have the anticipated short The Captured Bird from Jovanka Vuckovic. Check it out now!

SCI-FI: OUT THERE

Some of the best shorts I watched at the festival are part of the sci-fi program. If you could only catch one event, this would be the one to see. Including themes like time travel and aliens, and one short that delivers an incredible story without using any effects at all, these are some fantastic films. THE NIGHT SHIFT

Fans of the strange and spooky can enjoy an all night presentation of dark short films. Some are funny, some are bloody, and some are just plain weird, the horror program will have something for every taste. Surprisingly, one of the best shorts of the program was a documentary style film about the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia. Check the full review at the Toronto Film Scene website.
