The Necronomicon - Written and Directed by – Joseph Nanni Starring – Jim Borwick, Dan Hambly

The first short film to kick off the festival was The Necronomicon. It’s a funny take on a typical religious commercial where one guy is trying to spread the word, except this word is EVIL! Check out the short in full right here.

It couldn’t be a more fitting intro to the first film and this one was just as funny as the feature. I’m pretty sure that if these guys showed up on my doorstep on a Sunday afternoon I would listen to them! Very well made and very funny. I’m hoping that this sets a standard for the shorts this year at Toronto After Dark.
