I’m sorry, but this movie is a complete waste of time. Just downright terrible. The acting, the plot, the pointless violence, all of it is awful. I can’t believe I even sat through this one. I’m gonna tell you everything about it here so you can spare yourself the trouble of watching this one, unless you really dig a confusing story and an ending that only serves as some of the most graphic torture porn I’ve seen in quite a while.

First, the story. It doesn’t really make much sense. We have our lead character Izzy, the sick girl from the title, who is obviously sick but for a reason that I’m just not quite sure of. I believe the point of the film is to look whether people are born bad, or can be changed for the better, or something like that. It’s hard to care about what the point is when the movie is so hard to watch. It starts randomly enough. Izzy is on the school bus covered head to toe in dirt, (seriously, nobody even bats an eye at her looking like this) and she’s getting some looks from the obvious cool kids, two girls in the back of the bus. So what does Izzy do? She jumps up, knocks a nun to the floor and pees on her. Ooookay, fine, that’s pretty messed up, I could be down for some seriously messed up stuff.

After that it’s straight into the boring and pointless story. There really isn’t any more violence until the last 20 minutes or so. Now what we’re treated to is everyone’s terrible acting skills. It’s all very Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller. Flat, unemotional and monotone. Really, just plain boring. There’s this weird incest story shown for a moment when Izzy remembers her older brother telling her he’s joining the Marines and she tries to make out with him. He doesn’t go along with it of course and this upsets her. And in every flashback throughout the movie, and there’s a few, Izzy is wearing this terrible looking wig. I guess that’s to point out that it’s the past and not the present but isn’t there a better way?

Izzy has to raise her younger brother on her own now, with some slight help from a friend of the family, and he’s getting picked on in school. This leads to Izzy kidnapping the 3 bullies and forcing the ringleader to kill the other two kids. We then see she has the one bully, along with one of the girls from the school bus and the girl’s boyfriend all tied up in the barn. She begins to torture the bully by bashing him in the head with a shovel, covering his head with a bag and letting a rat eat his face. It’s almost Christmas as well, so she breaks the kids arms and decorates him with Christmas lights.

Suddenly one night, she wakes up in her room and has a flashback of her older brother leaving for the Marines. Her brother kisses his girlfriend goodbye and leaves which makes Izzy angry that he didn’t kiss her last. Jump back to the present where Izzy goes over to the girlfriends house and smothers her with a pillow. That’s what you get for making out with Izzy’s brother I imagine. Then she heads back to the barn where she kills the bully and takes the boyfriend of the girl from the school bus and cuts his penis off. She then hammers a large spike through a piece of wood, sticks the severed penis on the end of the spike and ties it around her waist after which she proceeds to rape the girl from the school bus to death. When Izzy’s moment of love is interrupted by the friend of the family, she wacks him in the head with an axe only to find that her younger brother is watching the whole thing. Are you with me here, it’s almost over!

The brother and Izzy run back to the house where the brother grabs a gun that Izzy gave him for Christmas and points it at his head. Izzy tells him that he shouldn’t shoot himself and that he should shoot her instead. The brother says “I’ll never be like you.” and then shoots himself in the head. We finish the movie by watching the barn burn to the ground and get a graphic look inside the barn as the girl from the school bus is tied to her boyfriend and their skin is melting off, followed by a flashback to two Marines coming to the door to tell Izzy her older brother has died in action. She had hidden his death from everyone else and I assume that’s what made her really snap.

I know I’ve gone on way too long explaining what happens but it’s so frigging pointless and stupid that I figured I’d just spoil it for everyone. I’m a jerk like that. I mean, if you’re into watching a guy get his genitals removed and then seeing a girl rape another girl with a spike, go for it. It all happens at the end anyway so you can just skip the movie. This is easily one of the worst movies I’ve seen and I recommend staying the hell away from this one. There’s not one good part about it. Sure there’s some extreme gore but it’s almost as if the gore is thrown in to justify the movie to people. So people can say “Well, it’s not that good but damn is it violent.” I’m pretty sure that if I can say the violence isn’t worth it, then it really isn’t because I love violence as much as any other gorehound. The real violence of this one is that I had to sit through it at all.

I quite like that promo poster though. This was on my list to see, the premise sounded just twisted enough to possibly be up my alley. That is seriously too bad! I best bail on this one. Sounds like one my poor husband won’t be sorry he missed!

It seemed to get an okay rating in Fangoria so I thought I’d check it out. It was really terrible though. Bad acting is okay for me in some films, but they usually have to be trashy B flicks, this is not a trashy B flick and it doesn’t want to be.

It is however, a giant piece of poop with some gore at the end. There’s not really much story there to support the film and even if your love of gore is high, I don’t think this is worth sitting through to see it.

promo poster is pretty dope, but ive enever seen you bash a film so bad. Oh well, kudos to the graphic designer, slap on the wrist for the people who made the movie.

I can’t recall hating a movie quite as much as this one for a long time now. Maybe that Britney Spears movie but that’s it! HAHA!

Now that I think about it, the poster is very intriguing and played a part in my urge to watch it. It just looked very cool. I guess that goes to say something, they got my attention with it.

Why so much hate? i Really enjoyed this one. Sick, and pretty damn disturbing.

  6. That’s why film is such a great thing, what one person hates another person loves. I just didn’t enjoy this one at all.
