Zombie Girl: The Movie and the zombies that made it happen!

So on a day that was full of annoying happenings that were intent on my mental destruction, I did manage to get some good news. I had recieved an email from a Thea Munster of the Toronto Zombie Walk announcing that they had passes for 2 to see Zombie Girl: The Movie at the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto. All you had to do was be one of the first 10 to pass on a recipe for brains. Well hell, I was born for this contest, or born again as a zombie if you will. So I sent in my response which was simple, brains are best served straight from the head of your victim! I mean there’s no other way to eat them in my opinion.

Luckily for me I managed to score the passes and will be off to see this fine film on May 1st. Zombie Girl: The Movie is a documentary following Emily Hagins as she writes and directs a feature length zombie film. Sure, you’re thinking lots of people do that, what’s so special about it. She was 12! That suddenly makes me feel like I wasted a lot of time in my life. HAHA! I can only imagine that after seeing this one I’ll be spurred to suddenly craft the next great zombie flick myself. Who’s in?

A big thanks to Thea Munster and everyone who makes the Toronto Zombie Walk possible. I’ve gone for the last two years and it’s one of the most awesome things to do in October and it usually falls right around my birthday. That’s means if you wanna party with me on my birthday, ya have to dress like a zombie!
